Nigeria, officially referred to as the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is indeed a country of extremes. It requires loads of guts from you especially, if you are traveling to the country for the first time because it has a major image problem. Nigeria is fabulously positioned in West Africa, containing 36 states and Abuja, being its Federal Capital Territory. Besides, it adjoins Chad and Cameroon in the east, land fringes with the Republic of Benin in the West, Niger in the north and in the south its shore lies on the Gulf of the Guinea on the Atlantic Ocean.

As far as religion is concerned, people here are great followers of both Christianity and Islam because of country’s roughly division half and half between Christians and Muslims. But, there is also a very small community within Nigeria that practice traditional religion since ages. However, such split between the different communities have majorly affected Nigeria’s peace and feeling of affection for each other.

Well, despite being known for its corruption, email scams and ethnic violence, the vast majority of its inhabitants assure to give you a heart-warming reception and befriend you with the place raw yet exuberant topography. Above and beyond, Nigeria’s rich, informative and entertaining music and literature have really pepped up many laureates and artistically inclined tourists to decide on this challenging tourist destination while exploring Africa’s finery.
