Sandwiched between Arabian Sea on the west and Kalahari Desert in the east, Namibia is home to a plethora of landscapes. It shares a boundary with Angola and Zambia in the north, Botswana in east, and South Africa in the south. Namibia covers an area of nearly 825,418 km2 consisting of beaches, rough mountains, vast never ending deserts and cities that still ring in the memories of colonial past.

Attractions wise too, Namibia is not much different from rest of Africa. It is the second most sparsely populated country in the world after Mongolia, but has a culture that lacks nothing. It is still painted in traditions but is trying to partly incorporate the modern ways. The transition is truly stunning.

The national parks of Namibia are a step up from the other wildlife reserves of the continent. The experience of watching wildlife roaming around on red earth that runs flat till it meets the deep blue skies at the horizon, is hard to be expressed in words. Etosha National Park is one place where this is a common sight.

Situated in the center of Namibia, Windhoek is the capital and the largest city of the country. The colonial ambiance that still persists over the city, gives it a charming feel rather than hustling touch of a capital city. Surrounded by low range hills, the city experiences a pleasant weather perfect for tourism. National Gallery of Namibia and Parliament of Namibia are major attractions of the city. Keetmanshoop, Lüderitz and Swakopmund are other important cities of Namibia.
